Andrew J. Harrill
Andrew Harrill (Drew) has found a way to turn his passions into a full time career. His strength is found in a combination of leadership, inspiration, a burning desire to stay on top of the latest interactive trends counterbalanced with a prudent business mind that mitigates risk and leverages the most value from technology.
Drew has been on the forefront of the interactive revolution for several years, from the early days of hand-coding html websites to the implementation of sophisticated, targeted marketing web endeavors that generate results. With hands-on experience in print design and web development combined with search engine optimization (SEO), he knows how to synergistically create a strategic web presence without falling into the traps that are created by “silo” mentalities that can make less experienced web designers and SEO specialists work against each other in larger agencies.
He co-founded and served as president for Informedia Publications, which published Destination San Diego Magazine and Flavor Magazine. Drew’s professional background consists of strategic business development, creative design, web development, and operations. As the COO for Advanced Integrated Media (AIM), he oversaw product development for multiple publications including On Trial Magazine and DUI Magazine.
Drew’s background reflects his passion for combining artistry and business. He attended San Diego State University studying Computer Science, but decided to follow his desire to pursue a more entrepreneurial career path in the publishing industry. Realizing that print publishing was a contracting industry, Drew shifted his emphasis to interactive and established his own firm in 2005. His first clients came to him through his contacts from print publishing. Famed restaurateur Bertrand Hug commissioned Drew to launch the first Mille Fleurs and Mr. A’s websites. Soon, Drew established a national reputation in the restaurant interactive business, attracting attention from national organizations such as Open Table Online Reservation Systems.
He is currently a partner in Working Compass, LLC., an online sexual harassment training web site, and Solution 36, LLC, a brain trust of consultants with clients that range from Charbroil to Lending Tree.
Drew sat on the board of the San Diego Black Business Association as the public relations and marketing chair for 2 years. He has worked with and consulted for numerous businesses including Sony, Netgear, Marsh US Consumer, Risen Magazine, Criminal Justice Magazine and many others.
Drew’s passions are diverse. He is an avid basketball player, a wine connoisseur, an avid pianist and a great dancer. His current focus is on the launch of Andrew 2.0, his one year old son and a major driving force in his very full life.
